Surfriding Sparkplug wires arcing to the head?

I have a couple months old ignition coil/wires. The reason I replaced it was ski was losing half way RPM after some time in the salt water. It felt like rev limiter was hitting at half way Same thing happens now. Last night after I got back from riding and ski was still salty wet, I started it in the dark and sparks were going off between the wires and head like a Christmas tree.. Whats up with that?
Thanks!
D.

make sure you dont have too large a plug gap, ( you put in new plugs right ?) anodized head domes will cause this as well , if both those are good most likely crappy wires

Clean off wires with a penetrating oil. Get yourself some silicone tubing that has same ID as the OD of the wires. Remove sparkplug caps, spray penetrating oil on wires and inside tubes, slide tubes on and trim tubes so their is just enough wire to fit the sparkplug caps on. Clean caps so there is no carbon on them
If you have upped compression, run .020 plug gap

Thanks for the input guys. The odd thing is that I had exactly the same symptoms with my previous OEM ignition coil (if that was the problem at all). It was only 1 year old, purchased with brand new SJ.
