Sponson position for surf???

Hey guys,
I got a 2010 superjet I’m putting pro watercraft front sponsons on. My question is for a surf free ride setup where is the best position I figure there are three possibilities.
1- flush with the bottom of the hull
2- flush with the inside of the rails
3- something in between the above two, if this is the case how far from the bottom of the hull are you mounting them.
Just looking for the general consensus before I drill holes in the side of my ski.
Thanks,
Jeff

Are you sure that you want them? They pull down whenever they touch fast moving water. With that in mind, you may want to make the installation as adjustable as possible.

Front sponsons pull down? They are screwed and sealed directly to the side of the hull there is no way they can move.

flush with botttom is not great for flat water. Ski does a chine walk and is unstable at speed. Best position is 1 cm above lowest position of hull. My 2 cents. Been there

I want to say that the prowatercraft products are more race/bouy course oriented than for freeride/freestyle. They look to make great products never personally tried them but heard nothing but good things.

Regarding the mounting height, the higher mounting position will be better for high speed cornering and turning. The lower mounting position will work better at lower speeds as mentioned before. Mounting too low can also cause chine walk as mentioned before. I like to mount mine about 1/2 inch off the bottom for good all around handling. If you can find them, the "tom21" tubbies I liked the best on a superjet
