DO NOT buy anything made of fiberglass from that guy. My bud just bought a set within the last couple of months, what a joke. Looks like a 5 year old made them in the dark.

That said, 'tubbies' are a great addition to any ski that you want to actually turn. A shortened, tubbied SN is a great riding ski.

Oh wow, so they are knock offs in quality as well :p
Yeah I like the idea of tubbies, sounds like something that might be pretty helpful. Not sure I'm gonna shorten my ski tho. As long as it's still as limber and doesn't seem like a tank because it's wider, I might be giving them a shot!

I'm thinking about getting a set of tom21 tubbies now! Not going for the knockoffs.
Anybody have some experience with his? I've heard pretty good things about them so far.

Oh yeah. It's take a full 25 mm pad on the bottom or the top. I slabbed it on both and used my shoe and some turf to sand both down to fit. He makes a cut out on the right side for the exhaust that works perfect. They are great holds.

Good to know. I'm in the market for some new holds anyways, so I might think about those.

I went with toby's oldstyle holds. It was my first set of holds, so I didn't know how tight I needed to make them, and I ended up using that black plush padding, so it was absolute pain to work with. I'm a size 9 shoe and I wear wrestling shoes, and they fit my feet okay. For small feet they fit okay. After I started advancing and working on stabs, getting high on wakes, I had a hard time staying in them.. Even with a turf patch, I wasn't able to lock in well. A turf patch doesn't make up for a mediocre padding job, padding them right is key. However I don't think padding would have made them perfect. I just didn't feel comfortable trying to get upside down/inverted with them, so I didn't.
