sponsorship

Actually you do. A freerider is competing for attention, that why they go to events. They like to show off expensive equipment that let them do a backflip. The bright paint and loud exhaust is there to make sure nobody misses it.

Hmm im sponsored by Wamiltons and i dont have bright paint or loud exhaust.

I have been sponsored by lots of company's and never really competed... It's not needed if you are known through video and pics (thanks to the internet) and are willing to represent their product well... You need to have something to offer them...

Look at surfing, Lots of guys don't compete and have tons of really good sponsors...

Exactly

It must be all of the non-sponsored riders seeking the most attention. Sponsored riders must be the ones who avoid events and ride all by themselves on quiet generic skis. Actually I have seen people get free parts just by begging. Many others are buddies with the sponsor. The rest really have to whore themselves.
