Spring of 2022 - Whatcha Gonna Do?

I feel your pain. I've been well over a year now without a functional ski and it's driving me batty. My ski will be ready this year, it'll need some touch up paint though. Dropped my engine cover recently and muffed up the new paint that was an absolute nightmare to get right. Now I have to give it some hopefully minor repair painting but who knows lol...with how my luck has been I'm not putting any eggs in that basket lol.

I got another. Bought a 454 big block this year that my dad and I are gonna try to stuff in to his boat that currently has a 350 small block. Everything I've read says it'll work and fit. We are just worried the smaller out drive won't handle it. Should be a screamer if it works out. 21 ft boat.. It already runs 51 mph, hoping for the 60s
We gonna race!!

So, I’ve been planning this for a few years, and hope this year it happens (depends on at least one other participant)… The great lakes around Michigan have a slew of islands, many being either state land or otherwise uninhabited. I bought a couple of sit-downs to make getting to them fast, though light on supplies. I’m going to camp on some, make day trips to others, and TBD from there. Take a look at the islands around Beaver Island for an example. I’ve been to a few before, but not on waverunners. Camping, fishing, exploring… that’s the plan. Mostly Lake Michigan and Superior. Stannard Rock is on the list, but I’m starting closer to shore.

Ps: should this sound interesting to anyone reading it, please let me know. There’s some amount of safety in numbers.

Follow up: made one run across the key part of lake michigan to get to the beaver island region. ~26 miles each way, only 4ish foot rollers and 50F water, so was trivial /sarc. Anyway, concept proven, and fuel range understood, so planning a full on trip there before summers end.

I've done the impossible...at least it was looking that way for a long time lol. I've finally finished my ski and now it's on the water again with a totally new look :) I'll update with photos when I get a chance to tonight.

I just picked up a 300sx for the kids today. Hoping to have it ready for them to ride by April. Currently 39 degrees outside but supposed to be in the high 70's next week. :)
Just in case I haven't spammed you all enough with these videos. *Am working on a coupler solution though so hopefully be a new video without the chain/sprockets soon. :)

And other most current ski project is fitting a bpipe to my jetmate.

Is this a ski you built?? I love the silence of it, don't get me wrong I love the brappiest of the brappins too but I gotta give credit where credit is due.

...also SexPanther has the best name. I always chuckle when I see the name popup in likes or wherever lol :D

That’s the dream, I’m jealous
Everything is paid for and I am tired of dealing with crazy ass customers, for some reason that is what it has turned into this year for me, all the good customers are gone and their replacement suck, I can cut that down to 20.-30 a year by flipping skis and doing very minor repairs.
