Super Jet Spring rebuild

The tray area may be cracked, letting water in. That is a known issue with square noses! they like doing that after lots of use. After repair/ overlay- no more problems. To answer your earlier question about bonding hull parts: very pricey urethane adhesives. Available in dual tubes to use with special guns, similar to bonding automotive panels, or smaller quantity A&B types (mix equal parts) http://www.mcmaster.com/#high-strength-adhesives/=wvvvhc - but as roseand stated, you don't need that- and it is very expensive!

I pulled 38lbs of wetfoam out of mine... not sure what the weight was after i put new foam in. You can seal it up 100%. Hook up an air compressor w/ 9-15lbs of air going into one of your drain plugs. listen for leaks/spray everywhere with soapy water. Seal any leaks with 5200.

Sure then the first big landing you have those spots you sealed will flex and leak again. It is physically impossible to 100% deal a tray of you actually ride the ski hard.
Leave it parked on a scissor stand and it will stay dry.

Well we can agree to disagree then. I can show you five or six hulls here that have had the trays done and they all leak now. If you go big enough there is no way to keep em sealed.

Yes, nothing lasts forever. But you can always use the air compressor and find the new leaks. Or just put in some versa plugs or whatever else.

Picked up a two part epoxy filler, going to clean out the seam of the bulkhead and run a bead, and use it to fair in the rub marks ive found. its some pretty sweet stuff ive used before. Then paint. the water has stopped flowing from the bulkhead and its been dry for the last two days. ill start grinding the seam and setup a nice spot to run a bead into the gap. The water is not coming from the outside of the boat, its from me letting 2" of water sit in it with a bad seal on the bulkhead, the water draining is making that clear, as theres hardly any water at all. Ill re-foam it this coming winter if funds allow. Ill update more with pics as i finish that up and get to painting the bilge. I cant wait to see it bright white!

Or put drain plugs in and run no foam or closed cell foam that doesn't soak up water. Btw, My square that I have zero history info on weighed roughly 135 lbs and all the foam from the bond line down was soaked. Like very very wet

Good to know! yes ill be doing vertically stacked pink foam and tray drains next year. I just want to ride this year and reduce the weight as much as possible.

Blew out the remaining water and got to sealing the firewall. Sanding sucks.. pulled off the old "sealant" and found why its leaking, this stuff flakes. I ground out the seam and filled it.

Polished up the prop, repitched it back to the 11/17 it was before i found a rock mid last season, and cut in a new leading edge. Also cleaned up the gas tank today and did a little more aluminum polishing.

I also placed my order with JetManiac for what ill need to get running. The pole, and top end swal are the o ly major things still remaining before i can start to assemble.
