Saved up my plowing money and decided to bite the bullet and get the highly praised Blue ported freestyle Jetmaniac 701 top end. Last fall I picked up a 61x case with a rebuilt crank. A few more bux and ADA head later and I'm one happy camper! leak down test this afternoon if I can get out of the house with the kids to pick up the gear to build one. Talked to Impros yesterday and have a Hooker on the way! still need to pull the pump and tap it for the second cooling fitting. hull is already set up with a second 3/8 cooling line. stock bilge is still in. what plugs do you guys run with the ADA heads? I'm surprised it wasn't in the paperwork that came with it. Anyone looking for a Skat near mint 9-17 or brand new 10-18 for a 144 drop me a pm. I'll give ya a hell of a deal. Need to fund the Hooker fund, LMAO!

also, I forgot to install the water fitting's in the head. I need to remove the closest girdle nuts to the fittings to get them in. Is it ok if I just take the nuts off, put in the fittings then re install/torque the nuts or should I take the head off and then re-torque in sequence? Big thanks to Jetmaniac for helping a fella out with all the goodies!IMG_3803.JPG

Also sending the flywheel to #zero for a facelift and anyone who can re work the CDI for me drop me a line please. Im not sure if its a 6m6 or a 61x /62t. This boat was in a million pieces when I bought it.

BR8ES plugs are what you'll want to run. You have a 6M6/61X flywheel there, so you should have a 6M6 or 61X CDI if it all came from a running ski (although by running a jumper someone could have been using a 62T CDI there also). It would be recommended to loosed your girdle bolts and re torque as the instructions call for. That will be a nice running setup though!

There is a rubber block that bolts to the bottom of my cases. Looks like it some sort of pad between the hull and engine. Do you guys run these or are they for a sitdown or something? There isn't one on my 6m6 setup

That's from a couch. Take it off. Don't need it.

A few guys have tried them in superjets to see if they would help motor mounts last longer. I believe the results were poor.

Also I think you have to shave the rubber a bit just to get the bedplates to sit flat in a Superjet.

08-up superjets do come with a rubber on those center 4 case bolts now though for what that's worth. That rubber is a different height than the couch ones though

Hmm..... Wish I knew that before I installed the motor today :(

Well it seemed fine in my squarenose all last season, in my roundnose now. Think it will really hurt anything?

If the couplers aligned fine I would leave it alone. I could be wrong about it my sitting flat. I yank them all out so I wouldn't even know lol.
