St Joe-Lake Michigan

Moving to the Southbend Indiana area. Does anyone ride freestyle skis around here? I know St Joe-Lake Michigan is close. Always hard finding new places to get some flips off. Thanks!

I haven't ridden at St Joe but I think they have a long river ride to get out to the lake. You might want to try New Buffalo or Michigan City. I have ridden both and it isn't to difficult to get out to the lake. We ride at Lake Street beach in Gary Indiana. You launch right on the lake. They usually have a ton of skis out there on the weekends.

I ride out of St. Joe. Planning to go out today! We also ride in the St. Joe river and Lake Chapin. If anyone wants to ride in Lake Michigan out of St. Joe there’s a great spot to launch standups that makes the ride down the channel super short. Also, free parking and no launch fee! I’ll see if I can post a map photo with the location.

For a short ride to the lake this is an awesome spot to launch and park. 4x4 reccomended because there’s no paved ramp. That or carry your skis a few feet. Probably saves 10 minutes of no-wake riding down the channel and $8 parking fee at the boat ramp!

!!!!! I never knew this existed. I live near the area, and have never bothered going to ride at St. Joe because of the long river ride. I gotta check this out!
