Start/Stop switch issues?

Been having issues with getting my ski to start over the last few weeks and today I was have trouble to even get the ski to turn over. Also occasionally it would fire up and die right away and sometimes it would start just fine. I am pretty sure that the issue is with the start stop switch but am curious if there is anything else that could be causing this problem? Also the ski is a backie chan with a 760 motor with stock electrical.
Also, anyone have any idea how long it takes to get your start/stop switch rebuilt from Jet Ski Solutions?

Thanks

Check the ground wire, use a jumper cabel from the negative on the battery to somewhere on the engine and try to turn it over.

I will have to try that, my negative cable isn't in the best shape.

Don't send it to jss or any vendor to get ripped off. That's a brand new start stop minus the plastic housing that bolts to your bars. For what you'd pay in shipping to jss back and forth.

That is alot cheaper then I have seen for the start stop wiring. Might have to go that route.

Thanks

I doubt it. Those prices are inline with dealer pricing. I can't speak for others but I wouldn't bypass my supplier for a few pennies here or there.

I switched out the start stop switch with another used one, until my new one comes in. Ran great all day then after it sat for an hour would get no reaction from pushing the start button. So either I am really unlucky with my switch or something else is wrong. Hopefully my new s/s switch comes in tomorrow so I can find out.
