300/440/550 start stop switch/lanyard

Just order a new face plate for an SXR 800 and replace your faceplate. The SXR 800 has the kill switch and should be black to match you existing switch. PN 32099-3818, around $20 from a dealer.

Is the part number you referenced from Riva's site for '96 750sxi?

I have an '88 650sx and a '91 650sx that I want to add a lanyard switch too.

Are you guys saying that I only need the switch itself and not the casing? Will the switch fit in the stock cases I currently have or do I need to order everything?

Don't mean to hijack the thread, I just need some clarification.

you don't need a different switch. just a new faceplate to go on the switch. swap it out with the current one. There are 3 parts to the case, a top, bottom, & the faceplate.

I think I follow, but can someone post a pic? If I am understanding you correctly, I keep the stock red and green start/stop buttons, but I change the case. I currently have to push the stop button to kill the motor. How would this work by only changing the case?

I was posting a long post on how the switch is assembled when I remembered I was talking about the 550/750/800 switch. I forgot that the 650 one is different. :banghead: You can easily swap switches though. I got one from a 96sxi on my 550.

Will the SXR faceplate fit on the 750 Sxi? I see the number for the 96 as 32099-3809, and wondered about the interchangeability.

Thanks Prof
