Having starting issues with my ski and was wondering if anyone had similar experience. Lithium battery recently died due to left on bilge, ( threw on smart charger and flashed code saying not holding charge so replaced with agm) Put new battery in and barely turned over. Popped the plugs out and ski turned over as normal but there was an intermittent grinding sound. Is this simply a replace starter issue?

Removed Flywheel to check stator condition and found charge coil like this. Now this is the second charge coil I’ve replaced due to the coating chipping apart, is this just a cheap aftermarket coil issue?

It certainly sounds like your starter crapped out. To get to it you will need to remove the headpipe. Just make sure you buy an OEM starter, A/M starters don’t last. Same with that charge coil, replace it with one that’s OEM. Now is a good time to replace the ground wire as well. Jetmaniac can square you away.
