I can tell you how to make a small fortune in the PWC repair business, its quite easy actually and anyone can do it,to make a small fortune in this business all you have to do is start out with a large one.

"I would rather spend $1000-1500 on a shorter, wider freeride hull that holds all my RN stuff, has similar durability to the RN hull"
Yeah I would think that's a much better market.

But if you are into making a really cool boat:
I'd say start with a FS-1 type design (short, wide, and manueverable) and add some mods (e.g. handholds, different lines cosmetically) to it to make it your own. If you could build something similar to an FS-1 in carbon and all RN parts would bolt in and sell it at a reasonable cost, that would be cool.

Have you ever vacuum bagged before if not you may want to start with something smaller.

Make some layups like this tank cover on a ski and I think you would have something different if people could pic their own design for you to layup in the mold.

just make a small part and once you see how much effort goes into just ripping a part, like a ridplate. then step up to a one-off part. that more than doubles or triples the amount of time to make the mold. also the bigger the part- the more the cost to make the mold and the part. let alone the time. to make a hull is just silly time and materials. to make one wrong...

I don't personally have the experience needed in producing composites that are hull-sized but know enough people who have made things as big as hulls before (like center consoles) and are going to help me make them. Liability insurance is on the top of my list right now. The composite side of the business will probably not be realized for at least 6 months or so, just getting ready. Right now I'm just raising funding doing all the mechanical and cosmetic repair jobs.

I'll add tank-cover's and nose-conversions to the possibilities list and consider it when the time comes.

Thanks Guys
