The title is cheesy I know, I know.

So I've been a Kawasaki guy my whole life...just about every toy we ever had growing up was a kawi ( a few exceptions)...till now! I have always wanted to try and build a Superjet just to see what the hype was about
so here I am pursuing around on the X and I see a new member with an abused ski who really doesn't to eff with it because its abused, sad, lonely, and it smells bad. He is relatively close so I offered him a crisp, clean
Benjamin and tomorrow I'll be heading out to rescue this misfit orphan.

I am excited to pick it up and start the open-heart surgery it will need.
I've read a lot of useful threads that have told me how to start, so thanks already you guys document everything and it makes life so much easier!

Not a lot to report until I get her into the garage and tear everything apart.

so here is a photo of me leaving my garage! woohoo

My 750sx is for going fast, so naturally the SN will be for some flatwater shenanigans, yin and yang and all that jazz.
I hope to have more to update tomorrow or Thursday.Stay tuned!

Welcome to the dark side...I had all kawi stuff as well and when I came across a smoking deal on a 701 SN I never looked back. It just runs right, is set up properly and never gives me any problems. GLWB!

I am going to see what I am working with first. Most likely will need a re foam so that's first. Has footholds already though so I am hoping maybe somebody already did this. I would like it to be a good free ride ski. But we will see as I progress along. Heading out at 4 or 5 from Wichita to go get get.

701 or 650? get some ski porn up! I feel bad for that 750. you don't know it yet but it has become the ugly red headed step child! I only got to ride the square I built this summer once. In that quick, freezing cold ride with no turf I fell in love. even with the underpowered 650 it put my old sxi pro to shame handling wise. I put a set of tom21 tubbies on and man it carves like its on rails!

I had an 8 hour drive home last night and this morning so the porn will have to wait until this afternoon! Lol. It has 701 but I'm guessing it's toast. It's pretty grimy. Going to need a lot of cleaning!

Ok guys...I've been working like a mad man trying to clean everything outside before it goes from 60 to 25 tonight. Almost done then I'll post up my findings. So far it's not as bad as I thought....so far.

Ok so it's still not as bad as I originally thought! which is a good thing right?

The engine moves freely, and I put some two stroke down the holes to make sure if it is salvageable nothing gets rusty.

carbs look ok but will need a rebuild. I haven taken off the stator cover or the head yet to see what exactly I am working with.

The e-box on the inside looks brand new, but the plug wires have electrical tape on them on the outside. the connectors aren't broken or corroded.

the tank cleaned up very nice! but the inside had a small pebble in it...
