Super Jet Steering setup 2012 SJ - let me know how this sounds

Ok i'm about to order my steering stuff, this is what i'm thinking:
1. CF steering system
2. RRP riser bars with ODI grips
3. CF throttle
4. shmity cable
Does that completely take care of the setup? Do i run shmitys cable or just snag a pre-08 cable for like half the price?! I'm still practically broke from buying it but the stock steering is a joke. I also snagged a bilge kit from OCD, cant spray the docks doing my fountains until thats in, haha.

I did all the changes you did on my 2010 but went with Blowsion 0 degree bars. I'm 6'2" and have to lean way forward and it's killing my back. Would the RRP riser barswork better given my height. This is also my first ski and am learning how to ride

I'd be lost without the x
Yeah you will have to do some modifications to the chinpad to accomodate a new turn plate. You may want to mod that anyway since it gets heavy as hell. Tear the foam off and turf over it and while your at it grind it out a bit so your steering system wont make contact with it.

Also, make sure your steering makes it to the stops and doesn't stop from the steering cable reaching its limits.

Peter, you will get used to it. As you get more comfortable with riding it will go away. I had major lower back pain from leaning over but as I got better at riding and more comfortable with the ride of the ski it went away. Now I only get tired like that if I ride fast in a straight line for extended amounts of time.

Thats who i'm snagging all this from.
Thanks for the replies but no one has answered the questions, haha.
I am not sure if pre-08 cable would work on post-08 pole without the adapter that comes with shmitys cable (as the poles are different on their steering end). I am now running pre-08 cable with shmittys adapter after shmitys cable snapped after almost an year of heavy use.
I had to do some modification on the adapter (cut it shorter) and the steering cone to make the cable turn evenly left and right without bottoming out before the steering hits the limiters.

As GC4 says, its not the bars that give you back pain, its your riding style. After awhile you will want to cut your stock pole 3-4 inches shorter and you will get even better feel of your ski.

Is the CF throttle a good one to go with this package? I know its a big opinion question but would like a little insight. I would just use to stock one if it would work on the riser bars.

I have the exact setup on my 2010, I like the CF throttle, I got all the stuff from jetmaniac, except the cable. I noticed a big improvement it makes the ski feel lighter and more responsive and now I can break the back end free.

Any advice on installing all this stuff? Or could anyone point me to a previous install? Any special tools? im going on vacation next week and my bro and I plan to do this while there, with minimal down time... or after were done riding for the day and start drinking beer that is, haha. Also plan on installing the bilge kit too.

Die grinder with a carbide burr, I had to clearance my upper pole parts for the new cable bracket, you will also need a drill and some bits. as for the chinpad.... grinder, knife and staple gun? I bought a used WDK chin pad and still had to chop the crap out of it....
