Steering setup

For some reason my steering when I go to turn left for a setup wake doesn’t want to cut hard. Im not exactly sure what the issue is. Any help would be appreciated. I have a Tigercraft m1 with rrp ovp steering, a brand new cable. And xmetal trim with stock 62t nozzle

did you check if the nozzle will turn the same amount left and right? If not you need to adjust the fittings on the cables. Or add an extension depending on the trim/nozzle.

Ok I think I might have got it to change a little. Have you ever had to run more than 1 extender?

is it a new cable? The direction you install it matters.

I cant tell from the pics. Turn the steering all the way to the left and then the right and then adjust the steering cable ends to make them even. You also have to stop on the steering stop or the cable will break.

Yes brand new cable. Brand new hull. How can you tell the difference between each side and what side belongs where?

The movable stainless steel sleeve section on the cable is longer on the part that attaches to the steering nozzle.

wow that is good to know. ive honestly never installed one before so that could very well be the issue.

I am pretty sure you wouldnt be able to hook up either end at all if it was in backwards.

ok. i hope you are right. id prefer to not have to take the cable out.

Also do people seem to be getting more throw out of the more expensive trim systems as opposed to just like the $300 xmetal one where i use a stock plastic nozzle

might wanna get a longer bolt and leave some room for the ball bearing to move around in. when trim lever is pulled it can damage/bend the cable. if you need me to I can show a pic of my setup

Ok ok. Now what benefit do you have by putting the nonslip on the bottom instead of on top of nozzle.

All the same, my hole might be lower than yours. Now that I think about it, top could possibly be better since it might not press against it as much with trim. Doesn’t matter to me though since I can’t ride until next year
