Still a few more parts i need...

Just got thinking and i realized i need a few more parts to finish my 550 and im not sure of the best/cheapest place to get them

Im gonna need a new bow eye or two since i had to cut mine down and i dont think i have enough thread to make it fit with turf. Blowsion has them for 13 or so each but how is there shipping?

Also the flap that covers the 550 dash is starting to break. The plastic hinge has gotten really weak and im afraid that if i even try to deturf it i will break it. Where can i order another one?

You could try talking to John Zigler on here. Send him an email and ask him about the parts that you need.

I've bought a metric ton of stuff from him for my conversion ski and it's all been great.

In my experience for shipping to Canada, Blowsion will tear you a new one as far as shipping goes. They have to be one of the highest priced places around for shipping. I've always had good luck with Atlantic Jetsports. Great prices, quick to ship, and no excessive fees.

As for the plastic "hinge" on the door in your tray, I think I've only ever seen two 550s that still have them on. It's nice to have, but it's not necessarily something you need. You might have to custom make or adapt something to work in plastic of the piece of plastic that acts like a hinge.

I lost the flap, but have no desire to replace it. The blowsion bow eyes are cool, but I can't get mine off, haha. Doesn't mean that I did something stupid like cross threading it putting it on. Maybe use some anti-seize?

i heard silicone works best on bow eyes... ive tried loading it with grease or anti seize and that even wears away in salt water use.
