Stock Superjet hull Frsstyle

Kinda crazy seeing a 750 kawi in a freestyle video lol (first vid on post). Makes me feel a tad bit better about pouring money into mine.
I think its cool to see what a RIDER can achieve on a ski like that. It looked like it didnt even have foot holds, I dont know if I could even jump a boat wave without those nowadays :) Good stuff!!!

Just watched the video again and it reminded me how much talent the guys had to be able to do those tricks! Makes me feel like i need to brush up on some old school moves.....

I think "freestyle" is now two different sports. both have very respectable riders and very impressive tricks requiring a good amount of skill or experience. much of the skill though doesnt transfer from surf to flatwater and vice versa. same goes for the equipment (motor/hull)
Just a few years ago everyone was at least doing these two sports on the same superjet based hull so the idea of being good at both with the same machine was logical and it was feasible for a new guy to believe his stock superjet could one day do the same things as a pro! :)

Now, the most recognizable performing riders all use the latest greatest frankenstein hull and motor and have to represent their sponsors (of course). This seems to have portrayed the idea that a superjet is no good and not even worth using in stock form. So our youthful generation of spoiled rich kids only know how to ride on a 1000cc half length ski that only wants to do flips every time the throttle gets tickled. Normal kids who can only afford a stock SN dont even want to be seen on one, so they dont even get into the sport. Kind of sad.

My stock SN hull rules!!! I'm with wydopen. F these little sneaker hulls. I need one for each foot!!

After attending flatwater friday it is cool to watch, but no way do I want to sped 20-30 grand on a boat just to flip around with no waves. Thankfully I live near surf otherwise I probably would have sold everything and got out like carter said.

Agree. I got in 1988 and the pros, featured on 'Jet Dreams', for example, were riding 550s, and killin it. So to accomplish the hottest tricks was pretty do-able for the average guy, on an average ski. That was exciting and a big draw for new comers in the sport. After a season or two you could have checked off a good number of the latest cool tricks. I have no point, just sayin, definitely different now.

I don't totally agree, but definitely see the point. Last weekend at Camp Far West we had a HUGE turnout and there was a lot of stock skis out there on the water all day going for it. Even hitting the v wake and exploding on landings. 650sx's, sn's, x2's, blasters, sxr's, 750sx's. It was actually great to see. We had x2's camped on one side of us and a rn on the other and both were in the water the better part of the day. Just a bunch of jet skiers enjoying a day on the water together.
