Did this solve the problem?
I just went through all of this with my fx1.
Bought the new switch set up and still didn't work.
Ended up being the starter relay. Swapped that out and shut off fine.
If this was already mentioned Sorry.

That does not make any sense? The starter relay is only used to start your ski. Once ski fires and starts and you release the start button then the relay is not in use and has nothing to do with the operation or stopping of your ski.

Ski is stopped when stop button sends a ground to the CDI to turn it off and spark is killed. You could have no starter or relay in your ski at this point and it will stop just fine.

I didn't think it made much sense either until I searched threads forever while trying to fix my problem. Went with new switch first didn't fix it. Thought it was air leak, all new fuel lines. Started searching and a few threads said to try that. I tried it it worked. My ski shuts off now.

This is news to me and do not understand why. Never seen it on any ski before.

Maybe the relay wasn't bad and just putting all the grounds and wires back in ebox snug fixed the issue? Loose wire or ground? @JetManiac

That is more likely and what I was thinking maybe happened. The s/s/s ebox side harness has the ground for the s/s switch. Maybe you had a loose or otherwise bad connection which was fixed while installing the replacement solenoid.

If you were using the continuity function on the meter (beep//no beep), that does not measure or indicate resistance. Likely you had continuity but high resistance in the sss which could create the issue. Glad you got it resolved though!
