Ok... I am gonna get the adjustable restrictor so I can get a good engine temp, and then one of the easy off restrictors for the pipe side.

I remember reading you should keep your engine temp around 120 degree F. How do you monitor this temperature?

120F is hot, you can stick your hand it, but not hold it there. 100-105F is shower water. That's how I think of it.

Ok, so just put your hand under the water from the pisser... I thought maybe it was more accurate like using a thermometer in the waterline or something.....

my stock pisser water was about that temp. which makes sense since the ski was brand new, and it should be at optimum temp from the factory... at least it should be....

It's not that critical. Just run it like everyone else and it'll be fine. I'm not even sure that there's any definitive evidence that it should be around 120F. The often recommended 120F needs to be at or right after WOT, not just riding. There's no way to quantify any of the parameters that contribute to water temp at freestyle speeds. Just make sure it's good and warm and run it.

Yeah I know... most people wouldnt even think about it... I have just spent so much frickin time and money on this project- I want everything to be perfect.... I will just get the adjustable restrictor, and then the quick release restrictor - get the water pretty warm and forget about it... I think you're right- I'm getting too obsesive with this thing...

What point can I type into mapquest to find the distance to the location of the freeride? What's the dates? It will most likely depend on how much vacation time I have left at that point.

Use Osage Beach Mo. for your distance looks like an 11 hour trip for you.

Maybe in the next year or 2 I can convince my family to make a trip down there for a week vacation that would overlap the dates of the current year.

Just ordered two of the pill type restrictors from Jetworks... Art said he would use the pill type over the adjustable restrictor for this application... just for anyone that reads this that is wanting to do a similar setup.
