They let off the throttle and were plowing at one point so I don't think it would matter. They did strategically place that cut though so it might be different scene if it was a foot or two more towards the back and also if the drivetrain was in it at the time. Those engines would have come thru the bottom in that case. Still a very good test of the strength of the hull but in the real world, the weight of the engines would drastically change the outcome, even from a much lower height.
Aren't some of the Seadoo models built with a layer of foam sandwiched under the engine cradle area? I read somewhere they had issues with water intrusion and layer separation in one of their models.
How much $$ do you guys think went into that little demo? $50K or more like $200k?
