stripped head bolt

just got it ported and polished and i got all the bolts in and then one just kept spinning. pissed needless to say but is it garbage or is it salvageable. its a 61x cylinder.

You're assembling your own engine. I think you're cable of getting a kit and fix it yourself no problem brah!

Very easy to do. Just need to drill out the rest of the threads, tap it, then thread in the new coil. I had to do 4 coils in a friends 61x cylinder and took a whole 10 minutes including vacuuming and blowing out the cylinders. Get a nice kit because you will run it in again. Aluminum threads and steel bolts..
 
Its really a relief because i just spent 1100 bucks + on a head, pistons, and porting. I was about ready to cry. Probably have another 500 invested in the ski just in replacing stuff that needed to be replaced and on top of the 2400 bucks it took to buy it i was about 4000 invested in quiting my Hobbie

Welcome to the club. I bought in for $2500 about 16 years ago and have spent over $60K since, lol. Now I drag around $40k in skis behind a $5k truck. :)
 
so i fixed the threads with a helicoil. very simple and works great. ski is now running and now im going out tommorow to elsewer lake to break in the new top end. thanks guys for the advice. heres to spending a ton of money
