Stud fell out! Where from? 2014 sj

Hi people, followed this forum but never posted yet. I’m going on a jetski trip this weekend but last night I found a stud with a brass nut in the bilge.
Appears to be 8mm stud, with 12mil wrench on the nut? About 1 3/4” overall length.
I can’t find anything missing around the motor. Ski is bone stock. Thank you for your help, I’m worried about it before I leave.

If it's all stock, the only studs used that I can think of are between intake manifold and the carbs themselves, should be 4 of them on the dual carb setup for an 2014. Definitely not the stuck nut though. It's possible it was replaced already. Or like Roseand said some times aftermarket intake manifolds use studs instead of bolts, usually for the top 4 screw locations. It very easy to drop a screw down in the engine compartment and never find them or find them years later once they've moved around. I just pull 4-5 random screws and washers out of the back of my old blaster.

Thank you so much Spyder! It sounds like it’s nothing, and the nut has some wear that the factory probably wouldn’t do. I did check the intake, and everything looked smaller than 8mm, and no brass.

Just make sure to double check All intake manifold and carb screws are in place and tight. If one is missing you probably won’t have an air leak right away but you will eventually and that could lead to some big problems. There are 4 on the under side of the manifold that you can’t see. Not trying to scare you, just don’t want you broke down. Most air leaks start as ski running poorly but can quickly damage the engine if unchecked.

Well I stand corrected, had no idea there were stud bolts for the handlepole bracket and that they use a brass lock washer. Learn something new every day!
