Studding A Tire Tutorial

I her ya, I'm going to beat on the 450 for sure. Or maybe I should say "the 450 is going to beat on me!!"

This guy gives some good tips in the video. My tires are done wrong in some areas, funny.

I made a jig like his to see the stud direction.

Just got an enduro motoz rear tire for the 450, built from Fredette. Real fast turn around, highly recomeended. It was a bit more cash then I wanted to spend, but it's professionally built. By the time you buy all the studs, tires, and liner your only paying an extra 100 or so for labor.

I'll get a ride report once my wheel shows up next week. I'm just going to mount them once, the side walls are pretty stiff with the liner.

I would like to hear how that tires rides, we ride fredette kenda rears and have always thought there could be something better for getting thru the snow build up. Its a real treat mounting ice tires, bloody knuckles and pinched tubes, worst part of the pinched tubes is you don't know it till you just got the impossible bead on the rim.

I agree with the bloody knuckles, no joke!! I have a kenda I'm going to
put it on the 250. Unfortunately i have to rebuild the motor, Almost done. I hope i dont wreck it again.

That motoz is pretty damn wide should work good on the 450. I picked that tire because I pretty much just free ride. I'll usually ride anywhere on the lake, deep snow or not. My buddy rides a 350x three wheeler. I hope to hit some tracks though. A couple locals have some tracks.
Have fun riding tomorrow if you go out. One more week, for me. Hopefully the ice is thick enough, rain on Monday, bummer.

Got the motoz mounted. Man that was one of the hardest tires to mount!! I hope i didnt wreck it, time will tell. It holds air, not sure if it even needs a tube, crazy stiff.

Cool, i ride on Lake Minnetonka a lot and Waconia. I know in January they have a vintage snowmobile drags and ovals in Waconia. That'd be a good weekend for sure. No one is driving trucks on the lakes yet here.

Schmidty721 being from WI you ever ride the steel shoe 3hr? About this time every winter we start making plans to go then by jan 1st one by one everyone backs out. Looks like some fast company there, JR and Fredette can do it solo and finish near the top. I would love to have you all come ride up here we plow on private land so no complaints, only problem is were 5 1/2 hours northwest of Cities

Got the short man seat done. I set the sag, but it sits a bit high for my short legs. Its not the cool factory look but atleast I can touch better. Short man problems, although it is nice to have it bump up in the rear to help push my weight over the fuel tank easier.

Put the cover on and I should be ready to ride!

I've already rode this year. The bay we ride is only about 3 feet deep and freezes over quickly
