Just recieved my Stunt hull from Highroller's last week.l took some pics yesterday, but don't know how well they will show up.The hull is black gelcoat which makes it hard to show up.

l want to thank chad on here for putting up with me asking lots of questions! Also to Jetmaniac for providing me the parts! Chris went out of his way to provide the best parts without even asking. Thanks, man

First thing was the alignment of the pump and shoe.Had to grind down some fiberglass at the two front pump bolts to take out about a 1/4" space between the the ski and rear of the pump.l'm close now and should just need to shim alittle bit at the rear of pump. That is all that l got done yesterday(geezz it was Sunday!).

Let me see if l can post the pics.
Ok,someone tell me how to get pictures from Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0.My kid is never around when l need him!

I am digging the black , I am planning on morgue'n mine out .
Have you decided on a color yet ??

At this point l'm thinking semi gloss black.Hydro turf is purple.Got an fx1,l just can't get away from the purple!

Chad,your ski should look awesome.......

im getting a black one aswell..do you think it could be wet sand/buff to make it look like a final coat?

l really don't think so.lt has alot of blems in the gelcoat. The edges are also rough in places, which will be fixed before paint. When are you "supposed" to get yours, man?

What was the delta between when you were "supposed" to get yours and when you actually got it? Weeks/days/mmonths??? Inquiring minds want to know......actually, I'm just trying to figure out if I'm told 1st week of Feb when should I actually expect it.

I think his was about 3 weeks late, probably not too bad for the composites industry LOL.

Don, Glad you finally got your hull and started your thread. Turn on some more lights/flash and get us some better pics please. Can't wait to see your build.

Diff have to get more light in my shop.Think l'll hang a white sheet behind it,so it will show better.Having a busy week with work, looks like this weekend,l'll spend some time on her.

Ordered all the fiberglass, resin, and epoxy from US Composites.l should have that Tuesday.Jetmaniac suggested using the west marine G flex for the pump shoe.He thought it worked better for his boat.l'm going to try it out.

l just want to give my opinion on the negativity on another thread that peeps are posting on here.WTF.Give Dan a chance to prove himself and his product.Yes,mine was 3 weeks late.ls it really that bad compared to others that produce hulls and products that post on the X.Seems like some are "shooting first, asking questions later".Do you "really" know if these skis are junk!? lt sure as hell isn't like dropping $5000 or more and having problems.l'll post more pics after this weekend. And make sure it isn't "dark or crappy" looking.

yeah guys are getting a lil out of hand with dan!!! its getting old! ive gotten composite parts from blowsion,wamiltons,24-7,waterdawg an TOM21...

TOM21-best overall work!(sxr hood)
wdk-really good work an cheap!(footholds)very strong holds
blowsion-very sloppy an alot of $(sxr nose&footholds)
wamiltons-sloppy an very weak!! broken in the first season(footholds)
24-7-good product with the 1st gen! 2nd gen sucked

lets let dan get a chance to prove his product before he gets ripped!

It'd certainly be wide enough but I'd bet it would require some careful manipulation to physically get it through the opening.

Spent Saturday in the shop finishing the alignment of the pump.As you can see from a couple of the pictures,l had to grind down alot of the glass near the pump seal.lt's paper thin at this point.Should get my fiberglass from US Composites today.l really appreciate the poor guy that helped me.Had him on the phone for at least 30 min ordering!

l bought the 12 oz biaxial cloth to build this and some other areas up.One question is how much should l build up the pump area?? Two layers or more? At least,l will just need a couple of shims to make a good seal.Chad has told me repeatedly how important this area will be to get perfect(thanks, man).

Also cut the hole thru for the driveshaft. The pump and driveshaft have been split since l got them,so need to get the shaft pressed on this week.

Ok,Dan...you got your pics! lol

And l hope these pictures came out better.

sano it looks like the pump area is chop only I can't tell if there is cloth in it at the back. I can see in other pics the lines from the cloth. just curious.

I would scuff up the areas to be repaired with some 36 grit and put like 3 layers in larger pieces each layer. make each layer extend at least 3 inches past the last one.

I agree .. the pump tunnel does look like chop .

Keep in mind when installing the new glass that you might need a fairly flat surface where the insert, for the pump bolt will go ( at the holes )
