Are you subscribed with instant notification?

I've received 3 or 4 for this thread already, plus the one for it being started (I'm subscribed to the forum for new threads) and some pm's as well.

I know the server is sending e-mails.

Have you guys checked your junk mail folders? While they may have worked before, it's possible the update changed something in the e-mails so they are being flagged as spam now.

My @comcast.net isn't working either for notifications. I'm subscribed with "instant" notification. Spam folder is empty as well....well accept for those penis enlargement adds.

I'll open a ticket with our provider just to check on things. It kind of sounds like a DNS issue which they manage.

mine is .sc.rr.com (Roadrunner) and I have not received any email notifications since the upgrade. I thought it was due to me switching from android to Iphone but I finally got a chance to check my computers and they were the same.

lol, I didn't get a notification of your response yet but I did just get a PM notice from 5:15pm so some stuff is getting thru.

I have not received notifications from last night and all day today. I rebooted my phone a couple times today but see that none came thru on my PC either.

Is this another "just me" issue again?

Still no emails. I changed accounts with no results other than to lock my account because I don't get the email to re-activate it. I finally had to link it to my work account just to be able to get back on to send this message.

I looked up the site address and searched the Roadrunner site for any blockages but they say it's clear.

I found the problem, our IP is blacklisted with Cloudmark. Cox, Comcast, Charter, and tons others all use them for blacklisting.

Working on it.

Back on via gmail, what a PITA.

I called Roadrunner last night and had 3 different representatives tell me that they do no filtering whatsoever. I call BS, they do, it's just above their pay grade or not on their troubleshooting flow chart. Prime example of the difference smart and intelligent...

Anyways, help me understand this process of blacklisting. Some entity monitors data across their domain and flags it if preprogrammed flags are tripped? Too many emails, too frequent or possibly content related?

What is the process/who owns the process of getting it un-blacklisted, the end user like me or the website admin?

The reason I ask is because I belong to another forum and have had problems with them as well. I get member of the month emails and other BS sales crap notifications but no PM or "replied to" notifications. Their site admin couldn't be bothered to even respond to my enquiries unless I subscribe to the minimum support package of $48/yr. (they offer platinum star memberships that are worth over $250/yr)

At the end of the day I am just curious as to how this all works in the background and how the data is handed off from one domain to another and between ISP's.

Is there anything I can do as an end user to prevent his from happening again? If more people flag the x-h2o domain as a trusted sender, does it add weight to whatever entity flags domains for blacklisting?
