And we used to ride down flights of stairs in cardboard refrigerator boxes. And it was fun.
And we had "semi-real" war games with BB guns (5 pump rule...no CO2). And it was fun.
(a friends mom was a nurse and would remove the BB's that we couldn't squeeze out)
Things like this land parents in jail today.
Not a killjoy. Just an observation.
And BTW:
I am an expert at noticing the blatantly obvious.

We all dream of inventing an item that might not change the world...but will at least make us a buttload of money.
Eveything that I invent, or have an idea for, turns out to already exist. (after MS Word came out I had the idea for the typewriter) lol.
So, I've diverted my creative thought process from inventing something new to re-inventing something old. This has worked for UPS and FEDEX.
I'm looking specificly at things that the gov't currently provides. How hard can it be to do a better job than the gov't?
This underwater tow-glide thing is a re-invention. Marketed properly, it may do well. If a friend buys one, I'd give it a try!

BB gun wars were a blast but could have ended much worse. Hit my buddy 2" from his eye. Friend hit a friends artery in the back of his leg. They were afraid to go to the hospital because they would get in trouble. Dude almost bled to death and the shooters parents got sued.
I would take it for a spin in some clear water but it would probably only be fun for a few....

HA HA isn't that the truth! True story, check this out- The ATM Debit card was MY idea! About 25 yrs ago, all that existed were paper checks and regular Credit Cards. If you didn't have a CC, you had to physically go inside a Bank to get spending cash- what a pain in the ass that was, and I didn't have a CC. One night while dining out with my wife, (Girl friend at the time) I was low on cash and I remarked to her, wouldn't it be great if there was a card similar to a credit card except it could only withdraw from your account. I called it a withdrawal card ( I had never heard the term "Debit" before) We both thought that was a great idea and high fived! I don't know if I ever could have patented that idea, I had no idea how to get a patent, and sure enough in a few years the Debit card was introduced and became the preferred form of payment. If only I could be getting a tenth of a cent royalty on every transaction, my bank account would put Bill Gates to shame! A lot of you may call BS on this story but it's true, and the one person who really matters, my wife, knows it because she was there! We still joke about it every now and then, because we're still poor!
Back on topic, That invention isn't for me, but I truly hope he patents it and makes a chunk of cash so he can sit on his boat in the tropics somewhere and tow his kids around using his invention!
