Success rate of rebuilding carbs?

Location

I have had an issue for about a year now. My '97 superjet will stall on me as I'm riding, especially when its under load doing a turn or jumping a wave. I've determined it's probably time to rebuild the carbs. What is the success rate of rebuilding carbs? Does it usually make them perform much better? Don't feel like spending so much money on new ones so hopefully rebuilding solves the issue.

Rebuilding is easy. Seriously. Message Jetmaniac for oem mikuni kits. Don't get AM ones...you'll regret that. It's just unscrewing parts and putting new ones in. Pull ur jets out and make sure they're clear and check the needle/seat for wear and ur good to go.

Rebuilding them will make them like new. Use the genuine mikuni kits. You may also need needle and seats.

Jm is a great seller and an excellent place to get your kits you should also replace the needles and seats if they are that old.

You may consider getting the allen head screw kits jm sells. He has them for both the diphragm and fuel pump sides. They are a good insurance against stripping out the phillils heads anx let you get the fuel pumps nice and snug.

Also the mikuni tee screws are nice for tuning.

Both of those are an optional convience, and if you are on a budget, you do not need them.

Thanks a lot. I've actually had them apart but haven't rebuilt them, so they shouldn't strip on me. I bought a kit online from "jet Ski Plus" that includes new needle and seats. Do you soak them in chem dip or just take apart, rebuild and reinstall?

I just get some spray carb cleaner and blow all the holes clean. Let them dry and rebuild.

I soak the jets and needles (remove the orings) but not the carbs.
