Well this is what I have and I want to work on getting more low-end punch without killing mid-top end totally. I wanna rip on it a little bit:biggrin:

I wondering what size prop would be best, what moduales would be best for the MSD TL...

61X with race porting
62T with race porting
81mm pistons
MRD Fuel injection
RIVA 5mm stroker crank
ADA Girdled head 185PSI
Factory B Pipe Mod chamber
TDR Waterbox
MSD Total Loss Analog

Thanks!

With your setup and a mod pipe, I would say you're going to need an impeller with a little stall speed built into it. The Solas Concord YB-CD-13/17 would work great with a 3mm set back.

Fuel cell foam should be replaced between three and five years depending on the type of fuel that you're using.

Are you looking to run pumpgas?

For pumpgas, I'd say you want a 5000RPM start retard chip, 3/1000 ret speed, and 8200 rev limit.

Set your static to 25 degrees or so. Be careful. 4/1000 might be a better idea.

Im really new to pwc's. As Ive only been around them a year and I just bought the modified ski. Thats why Im looking for your help so I dont blow this thing up because my lack of experence.

#0 - Im probally going to haveto change the foam as its been in there probally 8 years. Using 110 octance fuel. Any good places to get this from?

Matt E - Yes I will be running 93 octance gas, do you know where I could find those parts and maybe a tutural that explains what each thinng does have to setup the static?

Thanks guys

Setting up static timing is part of the MSD Total Loss setup & install procedure.

It could get very lengthy to go into detail...what specifically do you want to know?

As for parts, contact Randy at watcon or try PWCToday user 94ssi.

I called MSD and they do have the manual for the 4270 but can only fax it to me... Hopefully I can get that tmrw at work.

But I wanted to share some more information I found. I checked my modules and they are the following: 5deg/1000 Retard Rate, 4400 Low Retard RPM, and 8800 High Speed RPM Limit.

I little insight on this boat, I have never ridden it on the water only heard it start for a few seconds. Sounds good...blah blah. But I guess it ripped and was radar'd in the low-mid 50's. The Only thing Im changing is the compression from 205psi to approx. 185psi. With doing that does that entail alot of tuning, ect...?

And Matt are you still thinking that numbers before would be good to use? If so I'll start searching for those modules.

Thanks guys

I would start the retard at 5000. Use that rev limit, and the 5/1000 chip.
Set static to 25-26 degrees
