Surfriding Suggestions for impeller? 701 modded

Hey guys I rode my ski again today and really think its missing its ooomph that it used to have..

I'm running a Superjet with all of the following:
Stock 701
ADA girdled head
Lightened Flywheel
MSD Enhancer
dual 38's Taper Bored - Pilot Jets 75 : Mains 140's
Factory Pipe Limited Chamber
Dual cooling

Pump; Solas Mag 144 with stock 2014 impeller cutback as close to the vanes as possible. Big pump cone that comes with solas Pump. Stock exit Nozzle, Thrust trim with a 93mm bored steering nozzle (just how I got it, didn't think it would matter at the steering nozzle) I can go back to the oem steering nozzle.

Future plans: Motor is getting ported cases and cylinders in November. So is there an impeller that I can buy now down tune it so to speak with the spacing from the vanes and the pump cone, and exit nozzle size?

Id hate to waste money on one for a few months and have to buy another. Thanks for the future help.

On a side note, I get a lean hesitation... I was jetted at 135 mains, it was real bad.. Put some 142.5 mains in and I could hold wot all day, and the plugs didnt even look bad! this was with the adjustment screws all the way in. Now with 140's in it, and screws turned about 1-1/2 turns I get a hesitation after maybe 10 seconds. I feel like turning the screws out more than 1-1/2 justifies the 142.5 mains. Just put a new base gasket on and I'm sure I don't have an air leak.

Wasn't talking about me, but that's an option. It's far easier to address by riding than taking suggestions from the net, where everyone's skis run different.

Did you notice a change after adding any of the parts ?

IMO I'd ditch the solas stock cone and put a stubby on there and see how it does, than add a 85mm nozzle and try it again

When I went to the stubby on my setup it really woke up the bottom end, prior to that I had added just the solas stator and wasn't all that impressed.

The stubby would be a cheap place to start.

Well problem is, I have too much low end torque that it's over powering the impeller.. Putting a smaller pump cone on it will make it much worse. Smaller cone = more room for water to exit and frees the impeller of some load. So no that's not going to help. Thanks though.

You shouldn't have that much of a change in settings dropping to 140 jets...I run the highs at 7/8 turn on 140 jets, less or more runs crappy at my local spot. And air conditions make a huge difference.

My setup is
718 ported case and cyl for racing
215 psi ada 100 octane
Stock 38s, 75/140/95g
Light flywheel, ocd cdi w no rev limit
Flame arrestors
Hooker 9/15
Mod chamber b pipe that's at about 140*f

The stock impellar is around 13/18, that might give you an idea of where to go.

BTW I used to run an epic cdi with a curve similar to an enhancer, and I ran 1 turn on the highs, that's all it needed.

Measured the stock impeller last night was a true 10/16. Put a pretty steep one in that was originally a 13/17. Went ahead and put a small pump cone on it. Going to see how it does.

Also the impeller was worn down quite a bit and had some pretty big gaps between the wear ring.

I'll be putting 44's on it next week so if it feels only a little over propped maybe I can shim it away from the vanes to work for now. Then when I get it ported hopefully I can get by just removing the spacers and putting the larger pump cone back on.

Also this is with a super bright light under the ski... Still have some space, might need a new wear ring?
