Sunday morning brain fog

Went to fire up the SXR yesterday and click, thinking battery, 12.8v. Pulled plugs, wet, roll over motor. See fuel on top of pistons. So today, pull carbs thinking needle and seats are wore. Look good. No air bubbles with camber full of fuel and just air on the pump side. Noticed rear carb is leaking from the bomb site. Look over checks on back of kidney beans. Looks like its sealing. Noticed different P/N on kidney beans. So could someone help me though the fog? Going to swap beans and see if problem follows.

Only one way spin it over with the plugs out till it is cleared , make sure you ground the spark plugs to something and make damn sure they are grounded and can't come loose first though. It sounds like you have some bad needle and seats or bad o-rings around the seats, have you done a pressure test on them ?

No air bubbles with camber full of fuel and just air on the pump side like in the 3rd picture. I had another kidney bean that stopped the leak though the high speed circuit but as soon as i hook up the fuel lines in the boat and pressurize the tank i get fuel dripping from the bomb site. Think you are correct WFO. Dose anyone know if the needles are the same across all the different size seats?

Clunk from being hydrlocked when start button was hit. Had a couple of carb issues. First being the high speed circuit check leaking, next being PO put in cheep carb kits the diaphragms shrunk enough to hold the needle up. 2 new kits installed now. No dripping via pop off gauge and just holding back tank pressure. Waiting for yamabond to set up then just send it!

There are two prongs on the e-box of the SXR, that are FOR your spark plug boots. It will ground them out and prevent any chance of fire or damage to your electrical system.
