Idk, Im not sure that little float would hold a ski up? 250-300lbs of dead weight? Gotta remember his body is also buoyant, especially with extra chub.

Not yet I plan on searching agiain in the next week or two

A decent high end fishing boat would have no problem finding it in 30-40 ft water , might be worth it to rent a fishing guide for a day and tell him all u wan to do is find ur ski . I've picked 2 golf carts , a stolen Chrysler 300 , and a ton of bicycles in our river . Not sure if anyone's mentioned that yet .
