Sunscreen for riding

It gets in my eyes too.... What I thinks been happening is iam sloppily or hastily putting on my face too close to my eyes... What I did different this year is very carefully and slowly applying to forehead and cheeks staying away from my eyes... If it's a spray, I spray into my palm and use my others hands fingers to carful apply... First year it hasn't gotten in my eyes lol

What about moisturizer for post ride skin rejuvenation? What's everyone using?

I get pretty bad hair Friz after a salt water session... Any tips for keeping it under control? I am looking for a product that won't split the ends of my hair after a few applications?

You want to use the good stuff with zinc and titanium oxide. Even if it makes it to your eyes it wont burn them. I like these ones:

edit: if it is a spray it isnt blocking many of the other UV rays and the chemicals are what is burning your eyes.
Yeah, I have been using a "waterproof" spray but at the end of the day I am always rubbing my eyes and that just makes it worse.

Spray on sunscreen is a joke. It’s a marketing gimmick. Impossible to be proper coverage and protection with something so thin. Use some real poop. You’re welcome.

Even "good" sunscreen is mostly a waste of money. You'd need to apply about a tube worth for a whole day of riding to stay covered.
I ride with none here in AZ and still don't get a burn bad enough to peel.

long sleeve Rash guard and sunscreen on your face/neck with zinc and titanium oxide will keep you pale and cancer free all summer long. There are some powered sunscreens that works great as well.

I use Coppertone Sport. Idk if it’s considered “good quality”, but it has always worked fine for me in Florida.
Applying it at least 20 minutes prior to riding or getting sweaty helps of course.

I much prefer the spray spf 50 coppertone, meijer, etc to any lotion that I have tried. All the lotions make me feel like a grease ball and I have still burnt with the lotion. Never had a burn with any of the sprays. Yeah they can sting my eyes, but even just sweating does that sometimes. I spray my face too, just try to avoid a heavy coat near or above my eyes.

That said I mostly ride alone on a 5000 acre lake in Michigan so I usually just throw a 2mm wetsuit on. Best sun protection and even when it's 70+ degrees outside it's extra insurance if I have a breakdown. If I have to swim home a couple miles pushing a ski it's way more comfortable to be warm in a wetsuit than cold in the water. August is usually the only month where both air and water temps are too warm to wear a wetsuit.
