Super dumb quick question

My eyes are super lousy. I'm trying to fix my recently departed brother's superjet so his son can sell it. The choke knob was missing. Got a knob, but can't tell if it gets pinned in, or uses a set screw or maybe a cap head screw.......Can someone help me out please? Thanks

Philips pan head screw under the knob. Very easy to strip. Guessing its m3 in size, I used a number 1 Phillips screwdriver.

I have JB welded Yamaha choke knobs onto Seadoo choke cables before , the Seadoo choke is like a Tee handle and it's not replaceable.

I pulled one and its 2.49mm diameter and 6mm of thread. Mcmaster shows 2.5 and 2.6mm screws available.

Or........slip the knob on, use a small drill bit to go straight through the original hole and out the other side of the knob. Secure with brass or stainless safety wire.
