I don't think Tem used stainless for any of the hulls. He started using a thicker wall aluminum tube to avoid corrosion issues but he is a scientist for weight savings

Scientist for weight savings is right!! Front tow/loop bow eyes of rope.

Judging by the bends it could only be aluminum!

I had no trouble bending stainless with this gizmo from Harbor Freight. Tem is using all aluminum tubing. They have recently (last few years) adapted it by putting heat shrink over the aluminum tubing where it meets the carbon hull to stop the conductivity between the two. I used aluminum for the two straight tubes, and stainless for the bent one. Wrapped the aluminum in a layer of glass where it meets the hull before setting them in.

Any reason you used ss and aluminum? if these aren't corroded maybe I can insulate with glass, but getting them out in one piece may not be an option. I got the inside of the rear all cleaned up to put some tabs in the corners, I originally did all the work from the outside.

I came across some seamless 3/8" Titanium tubing at work tonight and thought about this thread. It's roughly $24/ft, light like aluminum, strong and corrosion resistant like stainless. It's the best of both worlds for a few dollars more. The stuff we have is coated already which adds even more corrosion inhibiting.

If you look at the pics you'll see I filled the compartment with water. Then we used some compressed air, just a few pounds, and plugged one end of the line and looked for bubbles. For the side compartments we did the same thing, except empty. Had it hold a few pounds of pressure and painted all around with soapy water.

I found a small leak in my trim tube. On Bucky's ski we found the leak on the bottom side of the cooling tube, just before it went into the firewall. Dave (@Superunatural ) replaced all of Brian's lines and was able to just bend them and place them through a small hole like the pics I sent you. He had to put a flare union on one.

Overall mine was pretty good, though after this year's abuse I think it may be time to really cut it out and do it all right. Dave is getting his hull and will be rigging it himself, I'm interested to see how he does it and then may learn from what he does.

Thanks for the tips guys, I replaced the straight cooling line with a ss one I picked up at my metals supply. There was little to no corrosion on the ends of that line. I will fill the tray with water and check for any leaks. I have all the reinforcing done to the rear. I think the bent line is fine too.

I just replaced both cooling lines on my 2014 carbon badass . I had a gallon of water coming out of tray drain holes after just one ride . I fillled the tray area with water that i pressurized with my backflush tubes that fit into my pissers . This filled the tray area completely and i could hear it buckling i had a steady stream coming out of the starboard side of the pump so i knew the cooling line that wraps over the pump was the leak . i also found all the places water was getting in through engine compartment and sealed them also . All i did was get 4ft of 3/8inch stainless tubing 10$ and a long 3/8 driill bit used for installing dual cooling lines in jetskis for many years driilled straight thru bend in 1/2inch aluminum tubing thru bulkhead on starboard side of driveshaft . Got alonger piece of 3/8inch water line and done deal . while i was at it ran drill bit thru port side tube and tapped new 3/8 stainless tube inside that tube also ,ID of the 1/2in is exactly the OD of the 3/8 if a leak happens again i will just drive the old 3/8 tube out and replace with a new one I surprised how fast it corroded i guess this galvanic corrosion stuff is for real . I ride alot in salt water a few times a week damn those aluminum tubes didnt last at all ..There has to be a better idea plastic tubes thru hull to insulate?
