Custom/Hybrid Superfreak Hood Hardware - how to do properly?

Are the CF seals and Watcon seals the same?

No. I'll see if I can find some pics. If I were to run the watcon I would cut the top loop completely off clean and see how that would work.

Here's some random pics of the cf hood seal. I'll go get a pic of a scrap of a watcon in a bit.

One difference I noticed between the two is memory. The cf doesn't seem to have much memory and recovers nicely. So far that is, and I like it. The watcon has memory as far as when you tighten it down it gets a groove like the stock seal. Which is also a good thing. I like both seals a lot, but lean a bit more in favor of the cf. We. Carry two different hood seals
The Watcon seal , which works great on most all skis and is a great value and works awsome with superjers and Rickter hulls, ( the new Rickters come with a new design hood seal which is great btw)
The Watcon seal doesnt work well with the super freaks, so we imported the AJSP seal for the freaks ,which works awesome on all skis, but costs more
