She's painted! In the pics ( @Jr. ) it looks red,but it's a dodge charger SRT color.Orange with gold pearl on the top and emron (you read right) black. We found an unopened can in the shop,That stuff is hard,so should wear well.Tops of the gunwale where the turf stops at the lip, needs some more sanding to even it out.But she's ready for assembly.l just lack a few things like fuel line and water lines.image.jpeg

That looks great! Done putting it together yet :)
I wish! May get to it this weekend, just depends on the weather.l'll be in the garden or working on the fence,if it's not raining.Hopeing for Rain! Should not be a bad instal putting everything back in it.Most everything is the same except for new cables and a few other items.Decided on a 148 pump shoe for future.

Sooo, just a teaser.Got the pump shoe finally installed.Had to call in @hornedogg79 for his help to get it done.We worked about two hours grinding and sanding getting the shoe to get further down in the hole.Between the primer and paint buildup,it wouldn't allow the shoe to match up with the pump. But now it's glued down with 5200 and should be ready to flip over to start on turf.
But got to pick up my wife this weekend at her sisters and won't be back till Tuesday. So crap....

Didn't realize it had been almost a month since being able to work on this ride.I "should" be able to finish turf this weekend.

One of my concerns was when l changed the gunwales was how the finished product was gonna look. What l though was "will it look like it was made this way?" Or would it look like a "chopped up,WTF was he thinking junk" that failed in the end.But so far, I'm satisfied with the outcome.
Started with 3/8" padding on the side and dash, then turf over the sides.Today I'll work on the dash and footholds.Already have a rough template for the tray turf cut out.But that comes last.l also want to clarify that when you are doing padding and turf,do the sides and dash first. Then do the tray bottom.Seen several threads lately that others have done with the reverse of this! That said, what ever mistakes you make will be covered by the thick tray padding and turf.Pretty simple huh....Don't make it hard on yourselves
Going to Atlanta next weekend to ride with that crew,so before anyone says hurry,l'm trying already!!

Are you going with me @hornedogg79

One of those SF turf jobs that turn into a larger project..

Got the sides, front foothold done, and padded the underside of the side holds.Gonna have to wait on finishing turfing the dash until l put the ebox in.But those pieces are cut and ready to glue.Tomorrow I'll finish the footholds and do the tray. All that's left is the rails. Those pieces are also cut and hull sanded.

Aw dam,no pics :)

I can't motivate myself to go 500ft and you expect me to go to Atlanta? Where are you going?...All-tooners Landing? We made plans months ago or I would.

So much for being in a hurry.Finished up a customer's car this morning, then got started back on the ski (with diversions,of course).Down to tray bottom and rails. Now l know why l build in the winter.Hell of a lot more time:(
