different flywheels and stators, really? that doesn't make a lot of sense since they're both 701's...
is there anything I can look at on the stator that would tell me the difference?

Wire lengths would be the only differance from a 61x blaster to a 61x SJ. Same for the 62t models. All functions of each component are equal.

as long as you use the same stator/flywheel the cases/ cdi dont matter correct?

yes azrider. You cannot mix and match stators and flywheels on the same ski. A 61x flywheel must have a 61x stator. a 62t flywheel must have a 62t stator.

will a 650 ebox work on a 701? with 701 61x flywheel, stator.

yes but the rev limiter is lower on the 650 cdi than the 701.
The basic idea is the stators are matched to the flywheels. You cannot mix and match stator and flywheel or you will have issues.
