Freestyle Superjet b-pipe coupler issue

My clamp on the coupler keeps sliding off I took the coupler put cleaned with brake cleaner 3 Times and used windex on it wasn’t slick like it used to be and gripped. Rode for a day of hard ridding throwing 360s and attempting flips and rolls. Go out today rode even harder and launching the ski then I go to the launch ski still ran great everything in tact. Go out 30 min later as soon as I get off idle ski started acting funny 20 seconds later and the coupler clamp slid off? Any ideas? Just buy a new coupler?

Brakekleen may be too harsh of a solvent for that I had good luck with throttle body cleaner. Make sure you clean the chamber and head pipe too, and both flanges need to be touching around the whole circumference before clamps are tightened. Fitment in hull without coupler helps spot misalignments. Also make sure water box hose isn't too short and pulling on chamber.

Learned this trick from Jetmaniac years ago. Clean it well with denatured alcohol or somilar product, then spray inside of coupler with windex, install and tighten it will not budge. Trust me, only way to install a coupler!. Windex allows it to seat perfectly, and when dry it is almost tacky and will not move.

If you read the instructions it gives a specific amount the clamps should be from the end. I’ve had a b pipe for around ten years and have had it slip off once By doing what they say.

If your bpipe couple fits in pretty well(already stretched out) you can try hair spray. I’ve done it on diesels when I had boost tubes blowing off. It gets tacky fast. Work fast
