Superjet bedplate

Can you use antiseize on the 701 bedplate bolts? Don’t really know why Yamaha recommends red Loctite. Going to be running in the salt

Definitely not on any of the case bolts but I do on the bed plate bolts. I also use anti seize on the pump bolts (mounting bolts and the 4 long bolts) as well as the mating surfaces of the wear ring, pump and Venturi (nozzle). As well as silicone on the intake grate and rideplate bolts.

I’ll probably get flamed but I’ve never had any bolts back out or come loose.

Just don’t think it’s needed. Plus I want an accurate torque. I’ve stripped threads before.

The cases have to be perfect or as close as possible. Put whetever gunk you want on any bolt but dont ef with the cases
