This is great stuff guys - Thanks !!

If you buy the Blowsion rotary switch ,others carry it as well .it is the best switch I have ever used .it's been on my ski for 2 yrs and I ONLY ride saltwater and it still works flawlessly .It turns left or right so you can actually have 2 devices hooked to it but only run one at a time obviously .I wired it so no matter whiuch way you turn it the bilges come on .
Highly recommended switch .
the handlebar switches are junk and toggle switches just get broken off and/or are junk

*** There always seems to be personal preference - but most of your ideas seem to be in line - thanks for the input - keep it coming on this topic - I know alot of guys have been asking the same questions over and over - But your individual experinces help all of us.*** Thanks

Hooray for a fellow canuck! Welcome to the boards!

If your still mastering the art of freestyle I would leave the engine alone until you get really comfortable with the power at which point you'll know when you need more. Focus on handling mods...chop pole, o degree bars, bilge pump, hood straps for insurance, keep the stock plate and dcut it if you want, pole spring if you don't already have one, footholds and turf...those mods should really help in learning. I personally wouldn't spend a huge amount of money on other stuff at this point. you'll have a nice platform to grow from, but from here the name of the game is practice!

Just my 2 cents!

Great thanks - Ya I have pole spring already too - Don't knwo what stock was like on this ski - but I'm not sure aftermarket one making that much diff? Pole still drops hard?

As for shortening pole? Heard take up to 3-4" off? I was thinking of modifing turn plate and straight bars? That might be too much? Stock pole is way too long..Need to stop porpoising. Going to check out thread on shortening but what would you recommend for length? And when/where we going to ride in new year?! I have in a nice private lake 20min north of T.O. FYI

615 Freeriders are addicted to T1 madness.
What U mentioned is where I would start. I would recomend some light motor mods though that will not take away reliability;
Head (prolly 35cc domes for aprox 185psi comp)
Lightened Flywheel
MSD Enhancer
then maybe carbs down the road.
these are bolt ons and should not cause any reliability issues at all!!!!

Is a scupper really necessary on flatwater? I run twin 360 Rules and leave them running the whole time I ride. I've never had any issues other than needing wait a minute or so between multiple subs. I'm about to refoam/reinforce/do footholds and am considering a scupper, but only because everyone recommends them.

I think if you are competing it may be needed because waiting during a 2 min. rutine is not an option, otherwise I hate them they are sit and sink valves IMO!!!!!

Scuppers are NOT needed :smashfreakB:

I like the idea of having one in case my bilge goes out... it will help get the water out faster too. The bilge will clean up the little bit that the scupper does not remove.

I know it is a slim chance of the bilge going out, but it could happen.... and if it does I will just keep riding and replace the next day....

If I will never be leaving my ski in the water for a long period of time, and if I do I plan on having some way of plugging the scupper tube to prevent the leakage....

I don't have a scupper yet.... but I will very soon :)

Some guys are cool without them... which is great... I'm just paranoid as heck

Paranoid about what? Leave the stock siphon bilge if you are worried about the electric bilge burning out.

Saw a couple threads re this but I wanna ask again.

Just bought 07 SJ. Already has Worx intake/Solas Impellar/Factory B Limited with carb jetting/Tach-hour meter.

I'm just a rec freestyler who wants to get better - had 89 Kawi 650sx. I was thinking dual bildges/ride plate/maybe shorten my stock steering plate and adding 0' bars/Foot holds and Mat(type?) as well as double exhaust as tail stand tricks are easy/cool.

I'm not really into engine mods for fear of reliability - and scupper installs scare and concern me as I leave ski in water over night odd time.

Thanks for the help..

Welcome. Glad you checked out the site. You emailed me about dual bilge bracket I have on Ebay I believe.

Stock bilge doesnt get out water fast... scupper very fast. From what I have read... most people that have scuppers don't have problems with them...

The only thing I am still a little worried about is what happens when the ski is upside-down...

Do all scuppers leak immediately when your ski is flipped over? How long do you have to flip your ski back over if its upside-down? Im gonna get the xft which seems to have a good rep

Speak up ,don't kiss azz
I think the best setup is a scupper and dual bilges .You really can't beat that .Get the Attwood bilge pumps because the Rules are junk
