Superjet hull treatment? Question.

Location
North Texas
What up. I bought a 96 Superjet from a guy in Houston thats clean as hell. When I looked under the hood he had what looked like a gray bar of soap in the bottom of the hull. Looked like some sort of cleaning tablet or something. I know he used to ride the ski in the ocean so that may have something to do with it. My question is what the hell is that, what does it do, where can I get one since its already disolved after a few rides?

the grey is just the crappy hood trick sponge. you need to buy the blue sponge for freeriding IMO.

oh!, and if you dont have it already, order yourself a yellow powerband aswell.

like i posted not too long ago, the black power band will be out soon and im saving my money for that one. should add a ton of bottom end.
and i wouldnt use the gray sponge either, that for flatwater. the blue sponge is WAY more predictable in the surf.
just my .02
