I'm doing an almost identical build right now other than your tray/footholds. These mods should really wake up that hull! Which Tubbies did you use?

i got it on a trade, the tubbies did great,i am worry now cause i had to trim the tubbies to match up the carter b rocker nose kit....most of the mods were on the ski before i cut up the ski..i was happy that most off the mods i have was reused.

maybe some of u peeps can help me out, before i start spraying some paint,i was wondering if i should do something with the tray instead of leaving the fiberglass exposed.maybe layer of thin epoxy resin or thicken epoxy...it just seem something is missing.i guess i am just so used to seeing gelcoat on the tray area..anyway it be nice to get some feed back...

wow glad i saw this, I'm literally in the middle of doing exactly the same build, i was just talking today about shortening the gunwales and moving the bob holds up further. I hope mine comes out as nice.

nope u were the only one..that look cool i was thinking the same cut, something to protect the nozzle.right now my plate is still uncut and 4in pass the end of the hull.so that said i was looking on how short should i cut the plate and angles cuts...the part i am really worried about is how well it rides when the lenght of the plate i really don't want to ride nose high when i am on plane.so i was planning to keep the plate long then cut as i go...but your looks pretty close to what i was looking for....

hey man, ive have time to test my ski and im able to do U TURNS AT WOT !!!! full body on the water style !! im not sure about how much the ride plate is contribting to this but id assume it has queit a bit. the cut allows for water flow on the sides while keeping the length where u want it.

too bad i think i got water in my tank as my ski stared to bog. first at WOT for a minute. then the entire ski stared to bog down to die.

PS, im able to do inverts of 1 ft boat wakes aha!!!!! your gona flip ur poop when you first ride your chopped SJ. these mods really wake the boat up.
