Superjet Non Girdled Head, Which One?

Who makes a good non girdled head for a Superjet 701? Ada has them for $270.00, Greater Yamaha for $300.00 and Riva has them but I don't like the way they look. I want one with removeable domes, do I have any other options?

Cylinder heads for Yamaha

The Greater head is an excellent buy, I didn't realize they were still available. That design has been used for many years with good sucess. If you need "Flat-top" or custom domes, I still have some in stock. The O-ring design is better than most, and the mounting system is very well thought out.
Thanks,
Randy @ Watcon

You should be able to pick a non-girdled head for much less than "new" cost if you look around here, ebay, pwctoday, etc. I don't think I've ever paid more than $75 for a non-girdled head. I'm pretty frugal and not hurrying helps also.

Greater still has them on their web site. I think they are still available, maybe the site wasn't updated for years. I have a few sets of domes for Pro Design heads. I am sure thay are the same as Greater. The Ada is the best looking in my opinion and they take Pay Pal. It is $296.00 shipped to my home in Canada.

Randy did you ever mail out that B pipe gasket? I bought that Blaster mod chamber from you.

I have a wanted ad on this forum and on the other one also. I didn't get any bites yet. Most of the non girdled heads that I see for sale don't have removeable domes. Several will show up after I buy a new one.

Sure they will. After I get one of what I want I always look for more of the same because they seem to come in droves after you get that initial one. I hate to want/need a part and "feel" like I have to pay more than I want because I "just gotta have it."

FYI I've been looking for an Girdled ADA head for $200 or less for about 2 years. I've seen 2 sail by that I wasn't quick enough to get.

Right now I've got 1 protec non-girdled non-domed, 1 pro-tec girdled non-domed, and 1 ADA girdled domed and a motor sitting under each. As soon as that ADA comes my way I'll be ready to sell one of the protecs.

Really though I don't change the domes out on the ADA as much as I initially thought I would.

I would be happy with a nondomed ADA!!!!!!!!

if you know what size you need, then there no reason to have domes.
That's my problem, I don't know what size domes I need. I have to run a lot of compression with this cylinder. The exhaust port is 3mm higher than a 61X cylinder so I am thinking 31cc will give me at least 190 psi.

No he will not!
I have a non-girdled that I'm looking to sell with 701 35cc domes. It's 2 years old, but has very low hours on it and is in excellent shape. Never had any engine problems running it so the domes are still perfect, you will only need new o-rings. $175 plus shipping??? I can get a picture later and send it to you if you'd like?

plese tell me if I am wrong, but my chart shows me on 701 stock non ported cylinder. This is a question for Magoo:hail:

37cc-170lbs
35cc-185 lbs
33cc -200 lbs
31cc-215 lbs

Steve, if I need dome domes I will contact you. I bought some bilge outlets from you a few years ago. I live in Manitoba.

Pardaddy send me some pictures. What brand is it? robertg@mts.net

Mark I am just guessing at 190 psi for 31cc domes. When you raise the exhaust port your compression goes down. BTW I will ship your intake this afternoon.
