Superjet on absolute rails

Looking to get a stock 2017 Superjet on rails for flat water. I’ve noticed the Superjets get pretty damn squirrelly at higher speeds on glass. What kind of ride plate? Intake grate? Not to interested in sponsons at the moment. I’m also looking for a good steering system that can turn sharper and harder. Please note I’ll be riding in some pretty serious chop too and jumping boat wake. Any help is appreciated thanks.

I've tried a Worx extended plate with a Worx 228 and currently have a Jet Dynamics rideplate and intake. The JD combo helps a little better with the "squirrely" handling.
A combo of works grate, HFC Yamaha SuperJet Race plate, and blowsion sponsons has made mine handle like its on rails. The tbm plate is great too

What are your goals? Buoy chaser? Steering system is kind of personal preference, I've tried -2 steering and ended up going back to stock because 08+ skis already have a good amount of nose pressure, didn't like being 2 inches forward. Prowatercraft HFC rideplate is awesome, a guy in my group had a JD concave and switched to Prowatercraft because he thought JD was terrible. Prowatercraft really shines in rough water. I also run a JD intake grate - its all I've ever ran, but really want to try out watercross of texas..

I also jump very large freighter wake when they come through the south channel in lake st Clair. Should I be worried about landing on a plastic ride plate and causing damage or cracking it?? I’m also just looking for a steering system that would make the ski more responsive and turn way sharper/harder.

I would be less concerned with damaging or cracking the plastic one compared to composite or metal. Wait until you feel one in your hand, you'll understand, its not made of tupperware plastic. Check out the prowatercraft website, its flexible but it flexes for a reason.

I did really enjoy my -2 cold fustion steering on my squarenose but youll need to consider doing the steering cable mod on your RN pole to get the same effect.

I too have noticed stock the '16 attempts to throw me off if I am going in a straight line on glass. I didn't have a lot of time to experiment with throttle position or moving around, but it seemed to happen at all speeds.

Add in the tiniest amount of ripple, and it rides with 100% confidence. No porpoising either, it's incredible.

Very different than the Pre-08 hull.

Edit: grammar fail

Exactly. Any input on this would be great.

I’ve always thought glass water was a waste of riding time, you need the chop for throttle response and handling that’s why I try and only ride in the afternoon.
