how do you get the pump off? i already took the ride plate off the hoses and then i took off the steering rod and the 4 bolts that hold the pump on but how to get it off am i missing something?

You have to slide it back ward to disengage the drive shaft then it should come right out. If you disconnected 4 bolts and all hoses it should come out sometimes they take a little effort form a pry bar to unstick them from the hull but not too much.

Forgot to say the driveshaft is attached to the pump so it will come with it.

There might be two .25" "dowels" on the pump or nozzle that goes up into the hull. You'll have to wiggle the assembly up and down a little while pulling out or pry it down a bit.

Well, not quite: there are some pins that locate in the hull, which means you have to pry it down to break it free. Get a big screwdriver in there or some other pry bar and force it down to break it lose. Don't worry about breaking anything, it'll pop free without too much trauma.
