Superjet rebuild

Hey guys, fairly new here with a Rn superjet that needs some help. I've done a fair amount of searching for solutions to my issues but will need some clarification on a few issues.

I figured I would start 1 thread to address my issues as I progress. All help is greatly appreciated.

Here's a few pics of some of what I'm dealing with. It turns out the great deal I had got maybe wasn't so great.

You are in the right place for sure!

That is no biggie...at least when you are done re re-enforcing...you will know it is done right!

Ahhhg! I guess I should have waited for more pics! Oh well....the same crap we have all went through. Now you will know it is done right.

Those OEM pole brackets break when the wind blows.

Ok first two questions..
I'm assuming their must be a through hull bushing that left some material on my shaft. Is this indicating that bushing is trashed?

And my pump shoe is cracked all the way through with two small gouges. It's tough to see the cracks in the pic but it's cracked right next to the insert. Replace epoxy?

Foothold are out with minimal damage, should be reusable I think.

I'm most likely going to cut out the tray and refoam and widen.

I'm not real sure what the hot one is these days...basically anything billet..and of course 1" forward and 1" lower if your hood will allow it...
That's what I'm unsure of, I plan on using the stock height hood for at least this season. Are most of the lower and forward brackets compatible with a stock hood?

Now I need to order supplies to put this thing back together.

I've read a fair amount on what to use and will do some more but any suggestions on types of fiberglass ing supplies to use is appreciated.

Alright, I'm starting to prep my sides for reinforcement. Quick question, I don't remember if this rib had somthing screwed to it or not. Grind it out or leave it? It's in the right front of engine bay.

*edit*
Nevermind I went through my disassembly photos and it's getting ground out.

I did find that cutting most of the material off with a multitool before hitting it with a flap disc that it greatly cut down on the massive amounts of dust.

Ok crack repair, my thought was to clean out this crack by grinding it out so there's about 1/16"-1/8" gap, put a thin layer of glass on the outside of the hull, fill the gap with a filler (unsure of what to use yet), put a strip or two on the inside of the crack followed by reinforcing the entire side.

Am I on the right track? Will I be able to blend in the glass I put on the outside to the hull?

Maybe the glass on the outside is completely unnecessary?

Yes make sure you prep/grind out far enough, repairs always end up larger than planned. I would do at least three layers of 12oz biaxial cloth on the inside, let that harden then fill the Crack with thickened epoxy, and lay up thinner glass on the outside. Make each layer of glass larger than the prior one. I also like to tape off right up to where my glass will end, the end of grinder marks. It's nice for when you start grinding to keep it more contained. Then use thickened epoxy as a filler over that.
