SUPERJET WONT REV OUT

b pipe brand new, ada head 38cc domes, lightened stock flywheel, jetting is 145-120. Air screws are set per factory pipe manual. I’ve swapped carbs from a running ski, I’ve swapped ebox and stator with no improvement( I could have 2 bad units) one way valve is good, gets good fuel, starts and idles fine. But won’t rev. Heat sensor is disconnected. I just bought the motor last week. It supposedly ran 2 weeks prior without issues.

Did you check the compression when you got it? May sound silly but is the throttle cable moving its full motion.

Also you didn't mention the carbs. Is that a single carb or a set of 44s? You are way richer than my stock 38s.

I'm running 140/75@42 at sea level with limited chamber, 170psi, 93 octane, stock carbs w/ 1 screen removed from airbox, lightened flywheel, 12/17 concord. This is a limited spec race boat, can load up a tad in the surf if you dilly dally too much but for the most part it runs perfectly crisp in the surf.

FPP recommends 135/70@55 on a stock boat at 730 feet.

I am not 100% on this, but I think a common jetting is 135/75@42.

Elevation and temp can change things, so maybe where you are in Germany it makes sense. I stuck a piston at 135/75@55 in Florida.

I am in Illinois. Water temp is upper 70s right now. I ride Lake Michigan often which is colder. It has a single carb Mikuni 44. I have videos the ski having issues, I can’t post them to here. The ski came with 125 main jet, 120 pilot. Air screws the same. I did check compression and he also did. 170 psi in each hole.

Is there any way I can send you a video? I’m new to the forum. I just figured out how to make a thread

I believe that I had the same problem. It would only go about 5-10 mph ish at full throttle. I also had the heat sensor taken out and when I put it back in it worked just fine. Will it work when the engine is cold/first starting out. Will it rev up higher for a second if you let off the throttle and then back on it. If so that’s your problem and simply put on a new heat sensor
