have him send you a picture of the casting number on the cylinder behind the carb. if it says '6m6' it is a 650 if it says '61x' its a 701, provided of course it hasn't been overbored...
Yeah, you have to look at the markings on the motor. As sj701 said, unless the guy had put a different cylinder on the motor and used the 650 cases. Lots of different variation's, just need detailed pic's of the marking's that come OEM.
