iv seen many 94 701 sj but would a 92 be a 701

can't tell from that picture.

have him send you a picture of the casting number on the cylinder behind the carb. if it says '6m6' it is a 650 if it says '61x' its a 701, provided of course it hasn't been overbored...

Yeah, you have to look at the markings on the motor. As sj701 said, unless the guy had put a different cylinder on the motor and used the 650 cases. Lots of different variation's, just need detailed pic's of the marking's that come OEM.

the head and pipe definitely look newer and the cylinders look to be bolted with 1/2 a girdle kit, so it COULD be a 701.

id be worried about those 2 different colored sparkplug wires. i smell a splice.

also i bought a wwf stubby cone but im am wondering when he replaced the 650 for the 701 iff he changed the pump or are the pumps the same
