Its all about the surf!

Living in Oceanside I ride (My Super jet) 98% surf. I try and make it out to the Colorado river to carve around on my SXR 2-3 times a year.

IMO, the best do both well.
Malone, Lenzi, Roy, Watkins, ect. There are lots of them. Choosing one over the other only limits your potential in lots of ways.
The snobby elitist attitude of some "surf only" riders has got to go.

Chasing waves.

70% Flat / 30% Surf.

I live waterfront so its just easier to ride the river, even though I want to ride surf 100%. Laziness and lack of time make that impossible.

I think those who do flat or both mostly have easy access to flat. who would CHOOSE flat over surf?

Thank you ! You Are 100% right !

From doing some flat here and there has improved my surf riding so much.
Not Just Aerials but from Reentrys to ski Control !
I do love surf though ! Great post ! :headbang:

I ride about 80% flat, 20% surf due to distance and VA Beach laws. If I had it my way, it'd be closer to a 50/50 with maybe a slight tilt towards surf.

Can't wait till WaveDaze!

chilling with these guys.
Location
good old p'cola
bayou 5mins 0r less to launch from house. heavy wake boat traffic day to day

beach options 30 - 45 min to be in the water.

i would not be rolling if it wasn't for the flet water attemps that killed the fear of landing inverted

Old, but still ridin'!!!
Surf 100%, I am not talented enough to have fun on flatwater, . . .

You could learn any of the flatwater tricks in no time.

I will admit that our trips to the surf have pretty much ruined the fun I had on flatwater, that and the fact that I don't compete any more. Surf is much more exciting nowdays.
