9' is no joke... Just make sure there's more than one of you out there at a time. Surf is stupid dangerous without the buddy system.

i going with a few guys that are experienced so i should be good. im not gonna lie i have butterflies already but im so excited.

it will probably come down from the 9'... but it will be a washing machine for sure (18kt winds).

Two riders are not enough for conditions like that, 3 or more.

i have to try man, i have been dieing to ride surf. i missed out on daytona because i had to redo the entire front end on my truck so i didnt waste away my new tires. then we had a little surf a few weeks ago but i missed that to due to a 400 dollar phone bill. now im getting my taxes back and i just really want to back flop!

That sounds like an open ocean swell forecast which means the wave size on shore will be significantly smaller. I wouldn't worry about it. It will still be super fun, Go tear it up and be sure and get some video to post up.

there was just two of us and neither of us wanted to sit and take pics lol. there was a few that was nearly over my head and everything was 3-5 sec apart. we had to slide over this sand bar from lake powell to get to the beach and that was interesting!
